The Great Global Warming Swindle

Now, I just hope I'm not going to be attacked over here just because of the title of my journal ;-)
Yesterday I took myself the time (1h:15min) to have a look at this film: The Great Global Warming Swindle .
I was quite embarassed because I was (or still am ... I don't know) a big fan of Al Gore's "An INconvenient Truth". After the film, my feelings were quite split but in a way I felt a certain relief. Not that I am switching completely my lifestyle and saying:"Oh well, everything is fine than, lets take the car again, consume where I can, etc.." . Surely not, I am aware that loads of problems concerning our mothre earth are true: pollution, consumerism, etc...
Well, I don't want to talk too much about it here now : I called for discussion on two different pods: "CLIMATE CHANGE" and "How to Save the World?", so if you want to join us, you're welcome.
Diana :-)

Help

Diana, no reason to be embarassed. we all pick our battles based on information that comes along. but just like you said, too much information is very confusing! :)
thanks again for the link. hopefully, well, get lots of intelligent and compassionate discussions out this :)
I like to set bombs like this one from time to time ;-)
I think it is important that people get information from different points of view and so learn to filter what they think is best. I am not completely convinced of what I saw but on the other hand not completely convinced any more about Al Gore's story either ;-)
My conclusion here: let's stop talking and worrying about “global warming” and concentrate on all the rest that is still to be fixed!
Diana, you're so right. Without seeing the Whole Picture, how can we move forward. Whatever direction one comes from, CC is taking place & as you say, there's much more to be done in other areas. In the next generation we have to learn how to adapt to our changing environment & pass that knowledge on to the future generations so they may take Homo sapiens forward with the wisdom that is sapient.
Thank you Will, it is comforting to see people thinking alike ;-)
Without seeing the WHOLE Picture, how can we move forward - indeed and Global Warming & Climate Change ARE just two aspects - however interconnected - of the bigger picture. Not least the confusion that abounds and our obsession with WAR not LOVE
