What does independence mean to you?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 04, 2008:
Independence? …an old ideal, old values, … no longer worth half of what it meant when nations declared independence in the old days … surely an important act during those periods of time … but today? We know, or rather should know, that we are all dependent from each other … this word doesn't mean anything to me.
In fact, quite interesting reflection: Our biggest independence as a WHOLE, as ONE, will be achieved the day we realize that we all depend from each other … :-)

Sometimes I have this peaks of lucidity … ;-)
Yes, indeed iit is one of my photo manipulations.
Right on Diana, but whether independent or dependent, nither would be good without a lot of R&R. Now, to most folks that's 'Rest & Recuperation' but to me it's RESPECT & RESPONCIBILITY. For if we don not live by this, we may as well leave now, for with us or without us, Life will carry on.
